Coffee along the Coast

Experience the magic of the Pacific coastline on a guided adventure with a local naturalist. As the tide drops, your guide will help you discover the alien worlds in between the tides. Learn how the different organisms survive in one of the planet’s most dynamic environments and hear the stories of the coast’s Indigenous stewards, early settlers, and modern-day conservationists who protect these fragile shores. Tidepool walks have complementary coffee and pastries.

After booking, your guide will reach out with the exact meeting location, tide timing, and current conditions. We may adjust the specific beach depending on tides, weather, or group needs, and we’re happy to tailor the experience to your interests. We will also receive your coffee and pastry orders.

You’ll meet your guide at the shore and begin a relaxed-paced exploration of the ecosystem with a focus on the intertidal zone. Expect frequent stops to observe marine life, identify species, take photos, and connect with the fascinating ecosystem at your feet.

We welcome guests of most ability levels. Participants should be comfortable walking on uneven, rocky terrain for up to 2 hours at a leisurely pace. If you prefer a more adventurous route or need accessibility accommodations, we’re happy to adjust the experience.
